Charles Kneil Ford, Metcalfe Co., KY (1933-2017)

He was a member of a highly respected Metcalfe County, KY, family. He was the son of the late Ike & Flora Wilson Ford. His wife, Marilyn Ferguson Ford, survives. He leaves five direct living descendants. He retired from SKF and was of the Church of Christ faith. He was an Army veteran. He was a member of the Edmonton Masonic Lodge for 48 years.

Charles Kneil Ford, age 84, Edmonton, KY, died Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Metcalfe County Health Care Center, Edmonton, KY.

Funeral services will be Sunday, October 29, 2017, at 2pmCT, at McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY. Burial will follow in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT, Saturday, October 28, 2017, and on Sunday after 8amCT until time of services at the funeral home. Masonic Rights will be at 6pmCT, on Saturday, October 28, 2017.


Charles Kneil Ford, Metcalfe Co., KY (1933-2017)


Born July 17, 1933, in Beaumont, Metcalfe County, KY, he was a son of the late Ike & Flora Wilson Ford. He died Thursday October 26, 2017, in Edmonton, Metcalfe County, KY, at the age of 84 years, three months, and nine days.

His wife of 61 years, Marilyn Ferguson Ford, Edmonton, KY, survives.

He retired from SKF and was of the Church of Christ faith. He was an Army veteran. He was a member of the Edmonton Masonic Lodge for 48 years. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include:
  • One daughter: Sherry (Dewayne) Pickett, Greensburg, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Tara Burks, Edmonton, KY; and Natasha Pickett, Lexington, KY

  • Two great grandchildren: Iva Kate Blazier and Maddie Ervin, both of Edmonton, KY
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and Fred Ford; and two sisters, Delsie Ballard and Dorothy Ford.
