Samuel Depp Byrd, Metcalfe County, KY (1931-2017) Sam was a farmer and member of the Antioch Baptist Church at Knob Lick. He was also a United States Army Veteran. He was the patriarch of a respected Metcalfe County, KY, family. He was the son of the late Corbett & Estil Edwards Byrd. His wife, Helen Poynter Byrd, survives. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT, Thursday, October 26, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, and after 9amCT, Friday at the Antioch Baptist Church.
