Dr. Thomas C. Morrison, 96, Cumberland County, KY native (1921-2017) He was the son of the late Thomas C. Morrison, Sr. and Clara Williams Morrison. His wife of more than 76 years, Betty Walker Morrison, daughter of the late Dave and Pearl Walker of Adair County, survives. He was the head of a large, highly distinguished family. He leaves 11 direct living descendants. His final resting place will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, Columbia, Adair County, KY. Dr. Morrison spent his entire career in higher education. He taught at the University of Kentucky and University of Connecticut before going to Morehead State University, Morehead, KY, as head of the Department of Economics. He retired in 1986. He was a long-time member of the Palm Harbor United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the United State Army Air Corp who served 41 months during World War II as an Aircraft Dispatcher stationed at Great Bend, KS. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Virginia Wayman, Ruth Morrison, Wanetta Jones, Lyla Baker and a beloved son-in-law, Dennis Hann. Dr. Morrison spent his entire career in higher education. He taught at the University of KY and University of Connecticut before going to Morehead State University, Morehead, KY, as head of the Department of Economics. He retired in 1986.
