Janice Mae Reed, 72, Adair County, KY (1945-2017)

She was a member of the Bloomington Chapel Brethren in Christ and a past Worthy Matron of Louisville Chapter 391 Order of Eastern Star. She was a service estimator for Armor Elevator for several years. She was a member of a respected northeast Adair County family. She was the daughter of the late James Arthur & Ida Mae Bardin Williams. Her husband, William Reed, survives. She leaves six direct living descendants.

Janice Mae Reed age 72 years of Columbia, KY passed away Saturday night, October 21, 2017, 11:20pmCT, at her home in Columbia, KY.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Ralph Foster & Bro. Gene Conover the officiating clergy. Burial will be in the Bardin Cemetery. The family request visiting after 4pmCT, Monday, October 23, 2017 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. An Eastern Star service by Russell Chapter 432 will be held Monday night at 6:30pmCT, at the funeral home.


Janice Mae Reed, 72, Adair County, KY (1945-2017)

She was born on June 13, 1945 Glasgow, Barren County, KY. She was the daughter of the late James Arthur & Ida Mae Bardin Williams. She died Saturday, October 21, 2017, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 72 years, four months, and eight days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson. She is survived by her husband William Reed of Columbia, KY and the following:
  • Two sons: Truman L. Vincent II and wife Karla of Rockfield, KY; and James D. Vincent and wife Melissa of Mt. Washington, KY

  • Four grandchildren

  • One aunt: Lou Vena Leigh of Columbia, KY

  • And cousins Wanda Taylor and Dawn Hoover of Columbia, KY
