Huge outpouring of love and gifts help Jeff Wooldridge family

Community, his Columbia/Adair County co-workers, and army of friends of Jeff and his family show depth of love they have engendered over the years.
Photos are being added and linked to the full story

By Linda Waggener

If an avalanche of pure love, respect and hundreds of gifts can heal, then Jeff Wooldridge is cancer free and ready to return to life as it was before cancer symptoms appeared.

Trinity United Methodist Church was the site of the huge fundraiser given in his honor Saturday night, October 21, 2017.

The fellowship hall was filled to overflowing with family members, coworkers, friends and neighbors.

Ashley Bennett, Amanda Hamlett, and Ashley Lackey were the first to greet those coming into the event.

Donations of food lined long tables and for a donation of $5 or more everyone was able to enjoy dinner and hear singing by the Dream Depot gang. Chasity Mullins, Courtney Keezee, friends of Jeff, both from Columbia accepted donations for food.

Donna and Junior Feese brought their special brand of gospel music. Then Fletcher Bell sang Only the Lonely. Yulonda Bradshaw sang contemporary Christian songs. Mackie Joe Pennington and Jennifer Biggs were also part of the Depot program.

Auction items lined the walls in preparation for the main fundraiser.

The din of voices grew quiet when the man of the hour entered and Jeff was immediately surrounded by welcomes and well wishes.
Event photos are being added below the story and totals of funds raised will be added as we know them. - LW
