COLUMBIA, KY. - The Lindsey Wilson volleyball team took over the No. 1 ranking in the latest NAIA Women's Volleyball Coaches' Top-25 Poll, the national office announced Tuesday, October 17, 2017.

The Blue Raiders received 13 of a possible 21 first-place votes and totaled 584 voting points.

It is just the second time in program history the Blue Raiders have been the No. 1 ranked team in the NAIA. The first No. 1 ranking came during the final regular season poll of the 2015 season.

Lindsey Wilson holds the longest active streak in the top-25 with 53 total appearances as the last 25-consecutive appearances have been in the top five. LWC is the only remaining undefeated team in the top-25 poll.

Viterbo (WI) fell to second in the poll after receiving eight-first place votes and 579 voting points. The V-Hawks previously held the top position before suffering their first loss of the year to No. 21 Rocky Mountain (MT).

Northwestern (Iowa), Park (M)) and Hastings (NE) round out the top five.

Fellow Mid-South Conference member Georgetown (KY) is ranked No. 17 and Campbellsville (KY) is ranked No. 24 in the NAIA Top-25 Coaches Poll.
