California wildfires getting too close to family By Linda Waggener There were 35 fires raging in the state of California yesterday when I sent an email to my cousin Patti in the northern part of the state and asked her if she and her family were still safe. She confirmed that they are alright but that the news is scary. The Napa Valley fires are about 100 miles from their home.
