Adair Co. Grand Jury returns indictments 4 Oct 2017

Indictments brought against 4 individuals from Jamestown and Columbia, KY on charges including bail jumping, possession, theft of identity, and DUI.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Adair County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Columbia, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Wednesday, 4 October 2017:


  • Brandon Lee Burton (06/29/1990), Old Johnson Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00156. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Bail jumping, 1st degree. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bail set at $10,000 cash.

  • Kassie Ann Morgan (08/07/1988), Chapman Rd., Jamestown, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00157. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Bail jumping, 1st degree. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 2nd degree Bail set at $10,000 cash.

  • Stephanie C. Clark (10/31/1975), Edmonton Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00158. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs of or above .08, 4th or subsequent offense (aggravating circumstance). Bail set at $7,500 full cash.

  • Everett R. Hobbs (04/18/1964), Hwy 92, Jamestown, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00159. Charged with 7 counts. Count 1 - Theft of identity. Count 2 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine). Count 3 - No registration plates. Count 4 - Operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs of or above .08, 1st offense (aggravating circumstance). Count 5 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 6 - Careless driving. Count 7 - Failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, 1st offense. Bail set at $10,000 cash.
