Richard Hord, Taylor Co., KY (1962-2017) Richard was a beloved member of the community. He was a follower of Jesus and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church He was a blue-collar man who was a carpenter at heart who never took shortcuts. He took pride in the quality of his work. He loved honeybees and was an avid hobbyist of beekeeping. He also had an adoration for Ford Thunderbirds and cherished his 1978 Diamond Jubilee edition. . He cherished his time as a bus driver for Taylor County Schools over the past twelve years. He also worked for Blue Grass Way as maintenance technician and cherished the residents during his many years of service there. He held a successful business in home improvements in years past serving many clients in Campbellsville. He was the son of Shirley Berry Hord & the late Richard C. Hord. His wife 35 years, Dee Martin Hord, survives. He died Sunday, October 1, 2017 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 55 years, 25 days. . Richard was a follower of Jesus and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church. He cherished his time as a bus driver for Taylor County Schools over the past twelve years. He also worked for Blue Grass Way as maintenance technician and cherished the residents during his many years of service there. He held a successful business in home improvements in years past serving many clients in Campbellsville. He united in marriage to Dee Dee Martin June 11, 1982.
