Kessler Jerseys Top 2017 KY Proud Youth Livestock Winners Special to ColumbiaMagazine.com Jera Kessler, Kyla Kessler and Keaton Kessler received a total of 13 awards for their participation in the KY Proud Program. This program began in 2004 with 5 species of livestock - sheep, beef, swine, dairy and goats. The program tracks points earned at all KY Department of Agriculture shows and the KY State Fair Youth shows for the year. Points are given to any animal that stands in the top 10 in their class with extra points given for champions. The KY Proud Points Program covers around 4, 000 entries of livestock and 1,000 exhibitors and points are tracked for showmanship, judging contests and skillathons for end of the year awards. Awards earned by the Kessler family of Adair County:
