Caller interested an Alpha-Gal support group

Caller first learned about disease by talking with Terry Partin at the Southern KY Expo
Response to story by April Shepperd: Bailey receives rare diagnosis: tick-bite-induced Alpha-Gal

We received a call this morning from an individual who would like to be in contact with other people whose lives have been affected by the Alpha Gal syndrome, caused by the bite of the Lone Star tick, and which results in painful allergic reactions to the consumption of red meat.

He would like to be part of an Alpha-Gal support group.

His number is 270-378-5350.

He said that he thinks many more people have the symptoms than have been reported.

He thinks he thinks that it would be beneficial for those with Alpha Gal, or who have a family member with the condition to share information, experiences, and coping methods.
