Janis Morgan, 74, Liberty, KY (1943-2017) Janis was a daughter of the late J.L. and Mabel Sharp Emerson. She was a former employee of Jim Dandy's Grocery, The Five and Dime Shop, and Liberty Sportswear/Osh Gosh. Janis Emerson Morgan, of Liberty, passed away at 4:35amET on Thursday, September 7, 2017, at the Liberty Care Center. She was 74 years old. Funeral services will be at 10amCT/11amET on Monday, September 11, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville St., Liberty, KY, with Bro. Johnny Maupin officiating. Burial will follow in the Willow Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pmET-8pmET on Sunday, September 10, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Janis Morgan, 74, Liberty, KY (1943-2017) Born February 9, 1943, in Casey Co., KY, Janis was a daughter of the late J.L. and Mabel Sharp Emerson. She died Thursday, September 7, 2017, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 74 years, six months, and 29 days. She was a former employee of Jim Dandy's Grocery, The Five and Dime Shop, and Liberty Sportswear/Osh Gosh. Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her husband, George Wilbert Morgan. He passed away on February 10, 2016. Survivors include her daughter, Annette (and Troy) Brockman of Danville; brothers, Jerald (and Iva Dean) Emerson, Tony (and Judy) Emerson, and David (and Angie) Emerson, all of Liberty; sister, Donna (and David) Price of Liberty; and a grandson, Jackson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Arrangements entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, with online guestbook available at mckinneybrown.com.
