More office furnishings from Capital Plaza - Sale 23 Aug 2017: Second in a series of spot bid sales--all kinds of items available Click on headline for complete story By Pamela Trautner FRANKFORT, KY (17 Aug 2017) - On Wednesday, August 23, 2017, more office furnishings from the now empty Capital Plaza Tower building will be sold through a second spot bid sale, to be held at 500 Mero Street, Frankfort, KY. Bidding will begin at 7amCT/8amET, and conclude at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET. Last year state agencies moved out of the 24-story office building and the Commonwealth has deemed a huge amount of office furniture and personal property items to be surplus. While these items are no longer useful to the Commonwealth, they may be useful to all types of non-profits, civic or other organizations or to the general public. Hundreds of items including desks, filing cabinets, lateral filing cabinets, credenzas, tables, buffets, bookcases, shelves, hutches, typing stands, white boards, bulletin boards, pictures, typewriters, rolling partitions, projector screens, lamps, refrigerators, televisions, projectors, trash cans, chairs, and more are available. Registration All interested parties must enter and register in the east lobby (side facing the Transportation Building). Registrants will receive a bid-sheet of all items. Sales and Payment Bidding will begin at 7amCT/8amET, and conclude at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET. All sales are final and items are "as-is." Payment is due by 5pmCT/6pmET on August 23. Items are located on the ground floor, mezzanine, lobby and first floor. Removal of Items The winning bidders must remove their item(s) by 2:30pmCT/3:30pmET on Friday August 25, 2017. No after-hours or weekend loading. The loading dock will be unavailable; some help may be provided to assist with getting items to your vehicle. It is the purchaser's responsibility to load and secure their items. Failure to remove items will disbar the bidder from any Commonwealth of Kentucky public sale for a period of two years. The Division of Surplus Properties can be reached at 502-573-4836. Additional information and photos are available at www.surplusproperty.ky.gov. This story was posted on 2017-08-21 06:24:37
