Some Area Schools won't be in session Eclipse Day Dean of Students Harmon, contacted early this morning, said that Adair County Schools now plan to be in session on Greater Solar Eclipse Day, but will be issuing a statement later in the day Click on headline for complete story, with additions as available. As schedules from additional districts are available they will be posted here and will be on the CM Events page for Monday, August 21, 2017. No school Eclipse Day/Casey County, KY, Liberty, KY According to the district's website, "The Casey County Board of Education has amended the 2017-18 calendar. There will be no school for students on Monday, August 21, 2017 but it will be a staff work day." No school Eclipse Day/Cumberland County, KY, Burkesville, KY Cumberland County Schools will use a SLED day on Monday, August 21, 2017, so students can experience the Great American Solar Eclipse, according to the school's website. Traditional classes will be not held on Monday, August 21, 2017.
