COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson football team begins the 2017 season ranked No. 8 in NAIA Preseason Football Coaches' Top-25 Poll, NAIA officials announced on Monday, August 7, 2017.

The Blue Raiders received 268 voting points from the 16 national raters.

The top-10 rating is the second for Lindsey Wilson in the last three seasons. The Blue Raiders opened the 2015 season ranked No. 7 in the poll. Lindsey Wilson has now been ranked for 52 consecutive rating periods dating back to the first week of the 2013 season.

The Blue Raiders are coming off of an 11-2 season in 2016 and a third-straight appearance in the NAIA Football Championship Series.
