Kentucky State Police working multiple collisions on I-24

Update: All lanes of travel on Interstate 24 have been reopened. The collisions related to the closures did not result in any injuries which required transportation to a hospital. - SENIOR TROOPER JODY CASH

Kentucky State Police Post 1, Mayfield, KY

EDDYVILLE, KY - (Thu 27 Jul 2017 - 2:33pmCT) – Kentucky State Police Troopers and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officers are on the scene of multiple collisions on Interstate 24 between the 42 and 40 mile markers in Lyon County.



KSP Post 1 was first notified at 1:26pmCT of two collisions at the 41 mile marker east bound.

Since that time, two more collisions in the eastbound portions have occurred.

Interstate 24's eastbound traffic has been limited to one lane and is anticipated to remain this way for approximately 5 hours.

Westbound traffic has been unaffected by these collisions.
