ACSO investigates East 80 accident with two injuried Ford F-150 leaves roadway, operator overcorrects, vehicle re-enters opposite lane, goes over earth embankment, before coming to rest in wooded area. Occupants treated on the scene and at TJ Health/Columbia, and then were taken to UK Medical Center by Adair EMS. Click on headline for complete story By Adair County Deputy Sheriff Brandon Hitch News from the Adair County Sheriff's office, Harrison Moss Sheriff COLUMBIA, KY - (Wed 26 Jul 2017) - The Adair County Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle accident 7 miles east of Columbia, on the Russell Springs Road. Twenty-year-old Joseph Sloan, the operator, along with a 20-year-old passenger, Austin Alley, both of Columbia, KY, were traveling west on KY 80 when their Ford F-150 fell off the left shoulder, the driver overcorrected, and the vehicle traveled across the eastbound lane , went over an earth embankment, finally coming to a rest in a wooded area. Joseph Sloan was treated on the scene by Adair EMS. Austin Alley was transported by private means. Both occupants were treated at TJ Health/Columbia. Later, both were transported to the University of Kentucky Hospital by Adair EMS. Deputy Sheriff Brandon Hitch was the investigating officer.
