She was a former factory worker. She was a member of a large, respected Adair County, KY family. She was the daughter of the late Guidell Lee & Eloise Pickett Jeffries. She was a native of Louisville, KY, and a resident of Columbia, KY, at the time of her death. Her son, Coven Coffey, is among many left to carry on her legacy.

Lois Jean Helm, 59, of Columbia, KY, died Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 3:30amCT, at her home.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 28, 2017 at 3pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Bobby Withers officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 3pmCT, Thursday, July 27, 2017.

She was born May 7, 1958, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY She died Wednesday, July 26, 2017, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 59 years, two months, and 19 days.

She was a former factory worker.

She was preceded in death by her father, Guidell Lee Jeffries.

Survivors include:
  • Her mother: Eloise Pickett Jeffries of Columbia, KY

  • One sister & brother-in-law: Barbara and Wayne Melton of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Danny Jeffries of Columbia, KY

  • Two nephews and one niece: Chris (Amy) Melton, Patrick Jeffries, Ashley (Jimmy) Harrison

  • Her son: Coven Coffey

  • Several other relatives and friends
