Encore: LWC's Lying in State 27 July 2017 by popular demand Lindsey Wilson College Theatre Presents an encore performance of Lying in State Thursday, July 27, 2017, at 7pmCT, in V.P. Henry Auditorium, 210 Lindsey Wilson Street, Columbia KY. Due to popular demand on campus and around the community, LWC Theatre has decided to provide another showing of the rip-roaring comedy, Lying in State. Lying in State, a political farce about a dead senator, opens for it's encore performance Thursday, July 27, 2017, at 7pmCT. The production, which will be presented at V.P. Henry Auditorium, 210 Lindsey Wilson Street, Columbia KY, is directed by Lindsey Wilson Assistant Professor of Theatre Robert Brock. This play will feature a cast full of members from previous TheatreFest! Seasons to ensure hilarity. The fast-paced political farce centers on Senator Ed who, through an unfortunate turn of events, was killed by several bullets caused by his shooting at squirrels. The rip-roaring production gets off to a wild start at the funeral parlor where we meet his ex-wife Edna, his campaign manager, brother and an ex-exotic dancer who claims to be Ed's fiancee, looking for the Senate seat he promised her. "This play is going to have people rolling with laughter from start to finish." Brock said. "It's going to be a lot of fun for us to watch these very eccentric characters come to life in rehearsal and then it will be even more exciting to let audiences in on their lives." Cast: Edna - Laura Burwash - Columbia, KYThe show will be set in black box, so reservations are recommended. For ticket information - including group specials - contact Robert Brock at brockr@lindsey.edu or 270-590-4803. This story was posted on 2017-07-25 14:24:50
