She leaves five direct living descendants. She worked in the Soda Shop at Grider Drug and was a member of Bethlehem Separate Baptist Church. Funeral services for Hester Blankenship will be at 11amCT, Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Daryl Coe and Donnie Wilkerson officiating. Visitation is 5pm-8pmCT, Monday, July 24, 2017, and after 8amCT, Tuesday. Interment will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery, 979 W Hwy 80, Russell Springs, KY. Pallbearers: Clint Blankenship, Donnie Wilkerson, David Payne, Trey Wilkerson, Greg Grider, and Eric Grider. She died Saturday, July 22, 2017, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 83 years, nine months, and 22 days. She worked in the Soda Shop at Grider Drug and was a member of Bethlehem Separate Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Blankenship, and one brother, Leon Grider. Survivors are:
