Vicky Pike: Solar eclipse presents special problems for ranchers Miss Victoria states a question on every cattlewoman's mind Comments re Article 91683 KYEM holds FEMA eclipse tabletop exercise By Victoria Pike So I was just watching the news and we need special glasses to view the solar eclipse. Now my question is: Where do we get solar eclipse glasses for the girls? With the time for this event fastly approaching, what is a farmer to do to protect her herd of distinguished bovine, cows for those not acquainted with the girls? I hope someone out there might know the answer to this pressing question. Remember it is 96 outside and I may have been out in the heat a little too long today making sure all my cattle have plenty of water. However, I think this is worth asking. We can't just go out and tell them not to look up. --Victoria Pike This story was posted on 2017-07-21 18:34:45
