Where in the World is Mystery 'Old Swimming Hole'

Comments re photo 73426 Where in the world is this mystery swimming hole Willard Jessee writes:
Where is the old swimming hole? Have not seen the answer. Thanks - Willard Jessee
Willard Jessee - Thanks for the prompt. We had two guesses, yours, which is in the right county, and another for Metcalfe County. Apparently, steps nailed to trees leaning over deep waters was a common practice in the olden days. The guest puzzlemaster said to tell everyone it is Adair County, in a kayakable tributary to a large body of water. That's all we can say today. - EW
