Campbellsville Middle School fifth-grade students recently took a tour of downtown Campbellsville. Students first visited the Campbellsville Civic Center and learned all about city government from former mayor Paul Osborne.

Osborne helped students as they portrayed city officials to pass an ordinance, which did away with teachers giving Fs.

Next, students toured Campbellsville Fire & Rescue headquarters and learned about how firefighters keep people safe.

To end the day, students visited Paint and Party on Main Street, and each painted a figurine to take home.

Fifth-grade teachers are Donna White, Jessica Lile, Kaye Breeding and Ann Michael Tucker.
