T.J. Health Columbia opening a new inpatient unit

The Columbia Adair County Chamber of Commerce joins the leadership and staff of T.J. Health Columbia, 901 Westlake Drive, Columbia, KY., inviting everyone to be part of a ribbon cutting ceremony this Friday, July 14, 2017 at 10amCT, to officially open their new inpatient unit. This means fewer patients will have to be sent to other hospitals when basic care can be provided locally. It is another step in the direction of regaining full care at Columbia's hospital.

TJ Health Columbia opens second wing on the second floor of the former Westlake Hospital with a 13-bed Inpatient Unit. Ellen Zornes, Chamber President of the Columbia Adair County Chamber of Commerce, welcomed leaders of T.J. Health Columbia and its parent, T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY, Friday, July 14, 2017 for a third ribbon cutting ceremony since its purchase from the local hospital district. With the 13-bed wing fully remodeled and open, this makes three sections of the former Westlake Regional Hospital, 201 Westlake Drive, Columbia, KY operational -- Emergency Room/Lab, Behavioral Health and now the Inpatient Unit. in the photo, TJ Regional Health President and CEO Bud Wethington, second from right, holds the ceremonial scissors and is surrounded by fellow hospital board members, Chamber of Commerce and community leaders, employees and friends.
