KSP Post 15 activity for June, 2017

Post 15 has two fatalities in June 2017. Year to date now 7, compared to 13 through same period in 2016

COLUMBIA, KY (July 4, 2017) - During the month of June 2017, there were 24 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington.

There were two fatal collisions during the month of June in the Post 15 area:


  • Christopher Grant, 38 years of age of Adair Co, KY was killed on 06/14/17 in Taylor Co KY

  • Ashlee Jo Nevius, 34 years of age of Marion Co KY was killed on 06/26/17 in Marion Co KY
This brings our yearly fatality count to 7 compared with 13 through this same period in 2016.

Statewide fatality count stands at 343 compared with 379 through this same period in 2016.

During the month of June 2017, there were 871 citations written, 136 courtesy notices written, 1579 vehicles inspected, 749 complaints answered, 67 motorists assisted, 56 criminal cases opened and 147 criminal arrests made.
