Gregory, Public Information Officer COLUMBIA, KY (July 4, 2017) - During the month of June 2017, there were 24 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington. There were two fatal collisions during the month of June in the Post 15 area:
Statewide fatality count stands at 343 compared with 379 through this same period in 2016. During the month of June 2017, there were 871 citations written, 136 courtesy notices written, 1579 vehicles inspected, 749 complaints answered, 67 motorists assisted, 56 criminal cases opened and 147 criminal arrests made.
