Metcalfe County's Molly Faith Matney crowned Miss Kentucky

Molly Faith Matney, 20, a Western Kentucky University junior representing the Mammoth Cave Area, won the 2017 Miss Kentucky pageant tonight. A tearful Molly had not expected to win, but her Grandmother, Shirley Matney of Center, said she had no doubt. She says Molly is beautiful inside and out, just right for Miss Kentucky and Miss America as well. Molly is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Avery Matney of Center. She will represent Kentucky in the Miss America pageant this September. We send our heartfelt congratulations to Molly and her family! - LW
