Elizabeth Ann Kirtley, Taylor Co., KY (1939-2017)

She was a member of a widely respected Taylor County, KY family. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. She was a retired supervisor in the bookkeeping department at Taylor County Bank after 35 years of service. She was a native of Taylor County, KY, the daughter of the late Ray Russell Rice & Lora Richerson Rice. She was the widow of William H. "Skinny" Kirtley, her husband of 47 years. She leaves 12 direct living descendants.

Elizabeth Ann Kirtley, 78, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 7:27amET, Thursday, June 29, 2017 in Louisville, KY.

The funeral service for Elizabeth Ann Kirtley will be at 1pmCT/2pmET, Monday, July 3, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Michael Goodwin and Rev. John Batcher. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, 200 Block West Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 3pm-7pmCT/4pm-8pmET, Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Elizabeth Ann Kirtley, Taylor Co., KY (1939-2017)

Elizabeth Ann Kirtley, was the daughter of the late Ray Russell Rice & Lora Richerson Rice. She was born January 20, 1939 in Taylor County, KY. She died at Thursday, June 29, 2017 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY at the age of 78 years, five months, and nine days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

She was a retired supervisor in the bookkeeping department at Taylor County Bank after thirty-five years of service.

She united in marriage to William H. "Skinny" Kirtley June 8, 1957 and he preceded her in death February 6, 2005.

She is survived by:
  • One son and three daughters: Martha Price and husband, Travis, Bobby Kirtley and wife, Lisa, Susan Reynolds and husband, Mike and Jennifer Caulk and husband, Jason, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Seven grandchildren: Tyler Reynolds, LeAnna Kirtley, Hannah Price, Rachel Price, Makenzi Caulk and Zachary Caulk of Campbellsville, KY; and Ashley Cofer and husband, Mike of Elizabethtown, KY

  • One great-granddaughter, Adlee Cofer of Elizabethtown, KY

  • Two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Helen Rice and Hollis Brockman of Campbellsville, KY; and Mildred Kirtley and Walt Kirtley of Aurora, IL

  • Special friend, Juanita Moss, Campbellsville, KY

  • Caregivers: Charlene Shofner and Zola Roy, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters: Frank Rice, Eugene Rice, Maurice Lee Rice, Marjorie Bryant and Clara Dean Brockman.
