The funeral service for Mary "Gussie" Scott Lawhorn was conducted on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at 2pmCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with burial in the Rose of Sharon Cemetery in Cumberland County, KY. The family received friends after 4pmCT, on Saturday, June 17, 2017 until the funeral hour on Sunday. Mary (Gussie) Scott Lawhorn, Albany, KY (1932-2017) She was born in Clinton County, KY, on Tuesday, March 8, 1932. She was the daughter of Hubert & Eunice Davidson Scott. She died Thursday, June 15, 2017, in Albany, Clinton County, KY, at the age of 85 years, three months and seven Days. She was a member of The Albany Independent Baptist Church, and was an excellent seamstress. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Allen Lawhorn; an infant son, Ralph S. Long; brothers, Carvil Scott, Johnnie Scott and Orville Earl Scott; and sisters, Golda Booher and Rosa Lee Scott. She is survived by:
