Adair Fiscal Court votes to raise Health Insurance allowance

County employees taking advantage of the county's health insurance will get $30 more each month.

In a special called meeting held starting at Tuesday morning, June 6, 2017, at 9amCT and ending 5 minutes later, the Adair Fiscal Court approved an agenda, voted unanimously to raise the Court's contribution for Health Insurance Coverage from $350 to $380 a month, approved disbursements, and adjourned.

Adair County Judge Mike Stephens presided at the session.



The additional health insurance contribution will cost the county $1,290 per month, Treasurer Melinda Quinn said, and told the court that the county has the funds to handle the additional costs.

The court also unanimously approved Disbursements.

Besides Judge Stephens, members of Fiscal Court Present were Harold Burton (District 1), Sammy Baker (3), Perry Reeder (4), Billy Dean Coffey (5), Greg Caldwell (6), and Terry Hadley (7). Magistrate Daryl Flatt (2), was out of town and unable to attend. Others present were Deputy CJE Andrea Waggener, Gale Cowan, acting as session recorder, County Attorney Jennifer Hutchison Corbin, Treasurer Melinda Quinn, and Audrey Burton, along with Adam Capps and Ed Waggener, local media representatives.
