Green County Grand Jury returns indictments 31 May 2017

Indictments brought against seven individuals from Green County (6) & Casey County (1) on charges including assault, drug violations, fleeing/evading police, tampering with physical evidence, outdoor burning violations, wanton endangerments, burglary.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Green County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Greensburg, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Wednesday, 31 May 2017:

  • William T. Despain (7/25/1992), Hwy 1464, Greensburg, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00037. Charged with two counts. Count 1 - Possession of a Controlled Substance - 1st degree 1st ofense. Drug Unspecified. Count 2- Drug Paraphernalia-Buy/Possess.Bond set at $2,500 full cash. No violations of the law.

  • Bethanne L. Despain. (07/18/1994), Highway 1464 Indictment No. 17-CR-00037-002. Charged with three count. Count 1 - Posession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense. Opiates. Count 2- Drug Paraphernalia-Buy/Bossess. Count 3 - No Brake Lights (Passenger Vehicle). Bond set at $1,000. full cash. No violations of the law. No use of drugs or alcohol. (Grand jury finding, Bethanne L. Despain: Comes the Green Countyy Grand Jury and after considering the testimony and/or records in this case hereby finds that the charge: Poss. Controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense, drug unspecified be dismissed due to lab report findings.)

  • Samantha Milby (12/14/1992), Doc Ward Road, Summersville, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00032. Charged with one count. Count 1 - Assault in the Fourth Degree (Domestic) Third or > within five years. Bond set at $1,000 /cash. No contact with victim. No contact location.

  • Christopher R. Bolton (12/19/1982), N Depot Street, Greensburg, KY. Indictment No. 17-CR-00036. Charged with six counts. Count 1 - Fleeing/Evading Police, 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle) . Count 2- Tampering with Physical Evidence. Count 3 - Failure to notify Address Change to Department of Transportation. Count 4 - Failure to produce insurance card. Count 5 - No/Expired Kentucky Registration Receipt (Violation). Class 6 - No/Expired Plates. Bond set at $25,000/10%.

  • Dorothy Elizabeth Barton (5/21/1968), Shady Lane, Greensburg, KY. Indictment No. 17-CR-00035. Charged with three counts. Count 1 - Willfully allow fire to escape from owned land. Count 2- Setting fire on own land without taking precautions. Count 3 - Fire hazard seasons - burning before 6pm local time.. Bond set at $15,000/no burning.

  • Brandon R. Brown (09/08/1988), Coakley Street, Greensburg, KY. Indictment No. 17-CR-00034. Charged with three counts. Count 1 - Wanton Endangerment in the First Degree. Count 2-3- Assault 4th Degree Domestic Violence No Visible Injury. Bond set at $1,000 Cash. No contact with victim. To reside w/def mom/Stay out of Green County.

  • Joshua R. Butler (Bee Lee Spur Road), Liberty, KY. Indictment No. 17-CR-00033. Charged with four counts. Count 1 - Burglary Second Degree. Count 2- Assault in the Fourth Degree. Count 3 - Fleeing or Evading Police, first Degree (On foot). Count 4 - Assault in the Fourt Degree, No Visible Injury. Bond set at $25,000/10%. No contact victim. No contact, premises. (Grand jury finding:Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd Degree, on foot, AMEND TO (UOR 00199), Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree (on foot)(UOR 00197)
