LW Baseball adds high school standout Nick Sanders for 2018 Sanders comes to Lindsey Wilson from Lebanon High School in Lebanon, TN, where he was a four-year starter at the shortstop position for the Blue Devils. Click on headline for complete story By Charles Balcom, Assistant Sports Information Director Lindsey Wilson College, Columbia, KY COLUMBIA, KY - (Tue 30 May 2017) - The Lindsey Wilson baseball program has added high school standout Nick Sanders to the 2018 roster, head coach Jonathan Burton announced on Tuesday. "We are extremely excited to sign another outstanding high school senior in Nick Sanders," Burton said. "Our staff has worked very hard to create a diverse group this year and Nick will step in and fill a variety of roles." Sanders comes to Lindsey Wilson from Lebanon High School in Lebanon, TN, where he was a four-year starter at the shortstop position for the Blue Devils. His senior campaign with Lebanon, Sanders maintained a .427 batting average with 10 doubles, six triples, a pair of home runs and 36 runs batted in. He also drew 34 walks, scored 40 times and struck out just 13 times in his 126 plate appearances. Sanders is a two-time 9-AAA All-District selection, a 4.0 GPA honor student, and was named the team Most Valuable Player, Defensive Player of the Year and the recipient of the team's True Blue Award.
