Two county chase ends in Springfield, KY with arrest Marion County Sheriff's Office assisted by Springfield Police. Suspect had outstanding bench warrant out of Marion County, was lodged in Marion County Detention Center and now faces numerous new allegations. Note - Charges/allegations are not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by law enforcement is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding. From the office of Marion County Sheriff Jimmy Clements LEBANON, KY. (Wed 24 May 2017) - On May 24 at 1:36pmET, Deputies with the Marion County Sheriff's Office arrested William B. Watts (43) of Lebanon, KY, in the city limits of Springfield, KY. This arrest resulted from a vehicle pursuit that began earlier in Marion County. Deputy Sheriff Tristan Hayden after observing a traffic violation on Barbers Mill Road attempted the traffic stop of a vehicle being driven by Watts. The pursuit continued into Washington County, where, with assistance of the Springfield Police, the pursuit ended and he was taken into custody. Watts was lodged in the Marion County Detention Center on charges of Failure to wear seatbelt, Failure to produce insurance, Failure of non-owner to produce insurance, Operating DUI suspended, Disregarding stop sign, Reckless driving, Fleeing or Evading police 2nd and Resisting arrest. Watts was also served with an outstanding Bench Warrant out of Marion County where he had failed to appear in court on a previous charge of Driving DUI suspended and Registration plates.
