Delta Wall, 96, Casey County, KY, (1920-2017)

She was a housewife and a member of the Mt. Olive Christian Church. She was the daughter of the late Kendrick Reid Elliott & Nora Austin Elliott and the widow of Cyrus Wall. She was the matriarch of a great family, with direct living descendants numbering 73, spanning four generations.

Delta Wall, age 96, of Waynesburg, KY passed away on Tuesday May 9, 2017 at the Jean Waddle Care Center, Somerset, KY. She was born in Mt. Olive, Casey County, KY on September 13, 1920 a daughter of the late Kendrick Reid Elliott and Nora Austin Elliott.

Funeral services will be held 10amCT/11amET, Saturday May 13, 2017 at Mt. Olive Christian Church, 1974 State Hwy 837, Yosemite, KY, with Rev. Greg Powell officiating. Burial will be in the Salyers Cemetery. Visitation was 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Friday May 12, 2017 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, and after 8amCT/9amET on Saturday May 13, 2017 at Mt. Olive Christian Church.

Delta Wall, was born in Mt. Olive, Casey County, KY on September 13, 1920. She was a daughter of the late Kendrick Reid Elliott & Nora Austin Elliott. She died Tuesday, May 9, 2017, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 96 years, seven months, and 26 days.

Delta was a housewife and a member of Mt. Olive Christian Church.

Delta was the widow of Cyrus Wall.

Survivors include:
  • Four sons: J.C. Wall and Lee Wall both of Waynesburg, KY; Sherrill Wall of Yosemite, KY; and Glenn Wall of Eubank, KY

  • Two saughters: Janet Foley of Waynesburg, KY; and Nora Wall of Eubank, KY

  • Seventeen grandchildren

  • Thirty-two great grandchildren

  • Eighteen great great grandchildren
Preceding her in death besides her parents and spouse were one daughter, Geraldean Salyers; two grandchildren, six brothers, Fred, Herman, Finley, Elmer, Calvin "Dickie" and Irvin "Sollie" Elliott; and five sisters, Ethel Simpson, Della Carman, Roberta, Eula and Hazel Elliott.
