Sandra Souders: Trying to find Grandpa's Whiskers

Sandra Souders writes:
I'm trying to find this flower. Can you tell me where I can find them? My mom used to have them. I hope you can help me. -Sandra Souders
Thanks for the inquiry - Johnietta Jessie of Edmonton, KY, posted a photo of a gorgeous specimen found in the Randolph of Metcalfe County, KY. (See: KY Wildflowers: Pink Grandpa's Whiskers near Randolph, Metcalfe Co. posted in August 2009). Since then, we haven't heard of the flower growing anywhere else. If you are looking for a plant, perhaps we'll hear from one of our readers. - EW
