Family fun event scheduled at Blair Park 20 May 2017

A special event for families -- Family Fun in The Sun -- is coming up on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 2pm-4pmCT at the Jim Blair Park and Recreation Center, 901 Hudson Street, Columbia, KY.

The event is to introduce new playground equipment plus a Story Walk with a free book for the 1st 40 families, the newest Monarch Way Station for Adair County, and inflatables for kids, hot dogs and drinks.



The event is sponsored by the Columbia-Adair Parks and Recreation Board, Adair County WATCH Coalition, and the Adair County Public Library.

Plans for the event were confirmed at the May meeting of the P&R Board Thursday, May 11, 2017.

Blair Park new playground equipment ready for big event

Marque Hicks pronounced the new playground equipment, "The Boat", a great choice. She was among those who tried it out right after it was installed in April. The new equipment is part of the upgrades at the Jim Blair Park and Recreation Center, 901 Hudson Street, Columbia, KY. A special family event is planned for Saturday afternoon, May 20, 2017 from 2pm-4pmCT.
