KSP Troopers extradite murder suspect from Tennessee

KSP is investigating death in Lyon County, KY. Suspect arrested near Cookeville, TN, earlier. Back in Kentucky, he now faces charges of Murder and Theft
Note - Charges are not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by law enforcement is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

EDDYVILLE, KY (Thu 4 May 2017) - Kentucky State Police Troopers extradited Arthur A. Long, age 66, of Eddyville, Kentucky today. Long was arrested December 5, 2016 by Tennessee Highway Patrol near Cookeville, Tennessee in reference to the ongoing KSP investigation.



Upon being extradited to Kentucky, Long was charged with Murder and Theft by Unlawful Taking (Auto). The charges stemmed from an investigation into the November 30, 2016 death of Nancy P. Minor, age 68, in Eddyville, Kentucky. Long was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.

The investigation is continuing by Detective Brian Hill. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kentucky State Police Post 1 at 270-856-3721 or anonymously at 1-800-222-5555. Citizens may also report tips anonymously through the KSP app. The app is available for iPhone, iPad and Android applications and can be easily downloaded free of charge through Apple and Google Play stores.
