KSP Troopers find 81 lbs. of marijuana in two car traffic stop Pair of drivers from California believed to have been traveling together, arrested, both lodged in Caldwell County Jail Click on headline for complete story By TPR Jody Cash, Public Information Officer Kentucky State Police Post 1, Mayfield, KY EDDYVILLE, KY (May 3, 2017) - Kentucky State Troopers assigned to the Post 1 Interdiction Team stopped two vehicles on Interstate 69 in Lyon County today at approximately 9amCT. The vehicles were believed to be traveling together. During the stops, Troopers conducted a search of the vehicles. During the searches, Troopers located approximately 81 pounds of high grade marijuana in one of the vehicles. Troopers also located money believed to be proceeds of drug trafficking. The driver of the vehicle containing the marijuana, Salvador Rodriguez Jr., age 32, of Visalia, California, was arrested and charged with Trafficking Marijuana (Felony). He was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail. The driver of the other vehicle, Antonio Hernandez Jr., age 30, of Clovis, California, was arrested and charged with Trafficking Marijuana (Felony) and Conspiracy to Traffic Marijuana (Felony). He was lodged in Caldwell County Jail. The investigation is continuing by Master Trooper T. J. Williams. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kentucky State Police Post 1 at 270-856-3721 or anonymously at 1-800-222-5555. Citizens may also report tips anonymously through the KSP app. The app is available for iPhone, iPad and Android applications and can be easily downloaded free of charge through Apple and Google Play stores.
