Mary Cordy, 71, of Jamestown, KY passed away on Monday May 1, 2017 at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2017, 2pmCT, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY.

Mary Cordy, 71, Russell Co., KY/Jefferson Co., KY native (1945-2017)

Mary was born July 21, 1945 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY. She was a daughter of the late Virginia (Higdon) & Wallace Greenwell. She died Monday, May 1, 2017, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 71 years, nine months, and 10 days.

She is survived by:
  • Four daughters: Sarah Burton, of Columbia, KY; Deana Lindsey, of Jamestown, KY; Stacey Lindsey, of Louisville, KY; and Kelly Gibson, of Palmyra, IN

  • Son: Kevin Jones, of Evansville, IN

  • Brother: Allen Greenwell, of Manning, SC

  • Sister: Nancy Richardson, of Louisville, KY

  • Twelve grandchildren

  • Ten great grandchildren
She ws preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas Cordy, brother Ernest Greenwell, grandson Jeremiah Gibson, and great granddaughter Amelia Gibson.
