Personal viewpoint

The KY 704 Waterline Project, bringing a high capacity water line to Columbia-Adair Utilities (CAUD) customers across KY 768/KY 1951 to Fairplay Road is now laid from the Antioch Community to the "Y" in the Chance Community as of 12pmNoonCT, Wednesday, April 26, 2017.

According to the engineer for the job, Stotts Construction Company has completed 44% of the project in 12% of the allotted time.

While driving in the area on construction days is inadvisable, unless absolutely necessary, it is worth a drive on weekends see the followup and cleanup on the job. It appears certain that the job will be completed on schedule.

The new line has been installed to serve the growing residential customer base and to supply adequate water for agricultural use, as well.
