LWC at Austin Peay Track and Field Invitational Fri/Sat Lindsey Wilson Track & Field competes at Austin Peay State Governors Invitational this Friday and Saturday By Matt Wurzburger The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's track & field teams head to 601 University Ave. Clarksville, TN, this Friday and Saturday for the Austin Peay State Governors Invitational. Friday's competition begins at 5pmCT with the pole vault, javelin and triple jump. The 5,000 meter run - the lone running event featured on Friday - begins at 7pmCT. The full slate of events begin at 10 a.m. CT on Saturday with the discus, shot put, long jump and high jump. Running events begin at noon CT with the 400 meter relay. Lindsey Wilson men's and women's track & field spent last weekend at both the Western Kentucky Hilltopper Relays and Cumberlands Invitational. Members of the Blue Raider women's team met two NAIA national standards over the weekend. Alexia DeHaven-Boyd hit the "B" standard in the 400 meter hurdles - placing seventh in the event at the Hilltopper Relays. Chanel Roberts won the shot put competition at the Cumberlands Invitational with a throw of 14.37 meters - a national "A" standard. The Lindsey Wilson men's team saw nine athletes hit national standards, including "A" cuts by DeQuan Robinson in the 100 meters, Kevin Hallmon and Robinson in the 200 meters, Goabaone Mosheleketi and Anthony Thompson in the triple jump and by the men's 4x100 meter relay team. In addition, Lindsey Wilson sent select field competitors to the Warrior/Forester Invitational in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Wednesday.
