COLUMBIA, KY - (Thu 13 Apr 2017) The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team has added Rose Mary Jackson for the 2017-18 season, head coach John B. Wethington announced on Thursday.

Jackson joins the Blue Raiders from Greenwood High School in Bowling Green, Kentucky where she was a four-time All-District selection for the Gators. During her senior campaign at Greenwood, the 5-foot-9 forward averaged 18.4 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, while maintaining a 75.0 free-throw shooting percentage.

The program's all-time leading scorer at Greenwood, Jackson has earned All-District Academic Team honors, was named to the All-Region Second Team both her junior and senior seasons, and played in the Ohio-Kentucky All-Star Game as a senior.

"With Rose Mary not only are we getting a great athlete but a quality person as well," Wethington said. "She is the type of person we want to represent our program and institution."

"The first thing I noticed when I watched her play was her ability to get to the rim and her decision making with the ball was great. She also gets in there and rebounds very well. I'm looking forward to her having a great career here at LWC."
