Eugene (Gene) Cowan, 65, Adair County, KY (1951-2017) He was widely known and highly respected for his knowledge and integrity. He loved his church and was a long time member of Charity Baptist Church where he served as a deacon He worked for Charles Giles for 43 years, beginning in 1967 at G & G Motors in tractor sales. He worked six years for Hobdy, Dye & Read in Columbia and retired on July 31, 2016. He was owner of Cowan Farming & Shop. He pursued farming and his personal farm equipment sales. He was an avid farm equipment auction attender. He was the son of the late Ira & Pearsetta Burton Cowan. His wife, Carol Polston Cowan, survives. He leaves four direct living descendants.
