CES Wings Express students draw snakes Click on headline for story with fun pictures of snakes which should freak out no one! But this is a warning for true unashamedly fraidy cats - CM By Calen McKinney, Public Information Officer Campbellsville Independent Schools Campbellsville Elementary School Wings Express students recently drew their own snakes. Second-grade teacher Tracey Rinehart read a book about snakes and the many different outfits they wear and places they travel. As an activity, Rinehart asked students to use their imaginations and draw their own snakes. Students drew snakes wearing hats, eating hot dogs and ice cream and much more. Wings Express is a program to help students with homework and other activities. Students receive help with reading, math, science, technology, social skills and more. They also participate in activities to learn about nutrition. Wings Express students stay at school from 3pm to 5pmET on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 1pm to 3pmET on Fridays for activities. There are no Wings Express activities on Wednesdays. Students are given a snack and then divided into groups to participate in programs that best fit their needs. About 90 students will participate in the Wings Express program. Amanda Barnett is Wings Express director. For more information about the program, call Barnett at 270-465-4561 Ext. 31141. This story was posted on 2017-04-10 04:53:53
