Mary Sebastion, 81, Taylor Co., KY/Metcalfe Co., KY native (1935-2017)

She had served her community as a cook at Taylor Regional Hospital as well as being a member of First Baptist Church and had served on The Mother's Board. She was the daughter of the late John & Luverta Tyman Clark. She leaves 17 direct and one step living descendants.

Mary C. Sebastion, age 81 of Campbellsville, died Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown after an extended illness.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sebastion will be held at 12pmCT/1pmET, Monday, April 10, 2017, at the First Baptist Church, 704 E Broadway, Campbellsville, KY with burial to follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery. Serving as casket bearers are, Cobie Wood, Brooks Wood, James Bryant, Bradley Taylor, Tyrone Taylor and Chris Tucker. The family request visitation after 10amCT/11amET until time of the services on Monday at the First Baptist Church.

Mary was born on November 18, 1935, the daughter of the late John & Luverta Tyman Clark in Metcalfe County, KY. She died Thursday, April 6, 2017, in Elizabethtown, Hardin County, KY, at the age of 81 years, four months and 19 days.

Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Tucker and Laverne Joiner and a grandchild, Jamal Wood.

She is survived by:
  • Four daughters: Barbara Sebastion, Vickie Hazelwood and her husband Eddie and Mary Wood all of Campbellsville, KY; and Sharon Sebastion of Illinois

  • One step-daughter: Janet Haskins of Munfordville, KY

  • Four grandchildren

  • Nine great-grandchildren

  • Three brothers: William Henry Taylor of Louisville, KY; Randy Taylor and his wife Helen of Campbellsville, KY; and Lloyd Estes of Indianapolis, IN

  • A brother-in-law: Reverend Gerald Joiner of Louisville, KY

  • A host of nieces, nephews and cousins
