Mike Keltner urges all to take weather warning today seriously

UPDATE 2:29pmCT: Tornado watch now in effect, until 9pmCT/10pmET for our area. TORNADO WATCH

Mike Keltner, Emergency Manager for Adair County, KY, is urging everyone to take today's weather warning with the utmost seriousness.

The storm system could impact this area of South Central Kentucky multiple times, with no more than 30 minutes to one hour advance notice when super cells are picked up on radar until extreme straight line winds in excess of 70 mph or long path tornadoes could strike.

Everyone should prepare, NOW, he said, and know where they will seek shelter if the worst happens.

Keltner said that from the advance information he has received, the storms are expected to move from Southwest to Northeast.
