LW softball rises to No. 9 in NAIA Coaches' Top-25 Poll

COLUMBIA, Ky. - The NAIA released its second regular season softball Coaches' Top-25 Poll Tuesday afternoon and the Lindsey Wilson softball team moved up two spots to No. 9.

The Blue Raiders (26-7, 12-0 MSC) received 370 points in the poll. Lindsey Wilson has now been ranked in 48 consecutive polls which is the third longest streak in the NAIA.

Oklahoma City earned all 19 first-place votes in the poll. The Stars received 529 points.

Columbia (MO) comes in ranked at No. 2 with 492 points, Brenau (GA) is No. 3 earning 479 points, Marian (Ind.) is 4th with 475 points and rounding out the top-five is Georgia Gwinnett earning 467 points.

Campbellsville (KY) is the only other Mid-South Conference team in the top-25 at No. 6. The Tigers received 443 points in the poll. Georgetown (KY) is the only MSC team in the receiving votes section with 94 points.
