He was a retired supervisor of Atmos Energy and a farmer and was also a member of the Pitman Masonic Lodge #124 F & AM. He was the son of the late Harry M. Richerson & Nancy Griffin Richerson. He was the son of the late Harry M. Richerson and Nancy Griffin Richerson. His wife Fayola England Richerson, survives. He leaves 10 direct living descendants.

Alvin Lee Richerson, 80, of Campbellsville, KY died at 10:10pmET, Monday, March 20, 2017 in Campbellsville.

Funeral service will be at 10amCT/11amET, Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY by Dr. James Jones. A Masonic service will be held at 6pmCT/7pmET, Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Burial will be Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old U.S. 68, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmCT, Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Alvin Lee Richerson, 80, Taylor Co., KY (1937-2017)


Alvin Lee Richerson of Campbellsville, KY was the son of the late Harry M. Richerson and Nancy Griffin Richerson. He was born on January 10, 1937, in Taylor County, KY. He died Monday, March 20, 2017 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 80 years, two months, and 10 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

Alvin was a retired supervisor of Atmos Energy and a farmer and was also a member of the Pitman Masonic Lodge #124 F & AM.

He united in marriage to Fayola England April 5, 1958.

To this union, four children were born: Michael, Kellie, Gary and Karen Jolynn.

Besides his wife, Fayola Richerson of Campbellsville, KY, he is survived by:
  • One son and one daughter: Michael Richerson and wife, Lorie,, and Kellie Jones and husband, Tim of Campbellsville, KY

  • Seven grandchildren: Kacie Colvin and husband, Wes and Kelsi Wilson and husband, Alex of Campbellsville, KY; Mackenzie Humphress and husband, Scott of Bowling Green, KY; Kasandra Pike and husband, John, Kori Richerson, Madison Jones and Keaton Jones, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • One great-grandson: Sadler Colvin of Campbellsville, KY

  • One brother: Elwood Richerson of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • Many other relatives and friends
He was also preceded in death by two children, Gary Richerson and Karen Jolynn Richerson in infancy; and one brother and one sister, Johnny Richerson and Louise England.
