LWC wrestling up 3 spots to No. 2 in NAIA Top 20 poll

Blue Raiders have four All-Americans; Campbellsville U is 3rd in poll and have five All-Americans.

COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson wrestling team moved up three spots to No. 2 in the NAIA Coaches' Postseason Top 20 Poll, the national office announced on Friday. The Blue Raiders earned 74.5 points in the poll.



Lindsey Wilson finished second at the NAIA Wrestling National Championships. The Blue Raiders had four All-Americans at the National Championships. Cam Tessari finished as runner-up at 157 pounds and Rhodes Bell was runner-up at 174 pounds. Daniel Leonard finished third at 149 and Matt Walker 5th at 184 pounds.

Campbellsville (KY) is third in the poll with 64.5 points. The Tigers had five wrestlers earn All-American honors. Life (GA) is No. 9 with 52.5 points. The Running Eagles had three All-Americans.

Cumberlands (KY) is 10th with 49 points and Cumberland (TN) is 11th with 48 points. Both the Patriots and Phoenix had three All-Americans. Brewton-Parker (GA) is the last Mid-South Conference team in the top-20 at No. 16 with 31.5 points and two All-Americans.

Southeastern (FL), Truett McConnell (GA) and Reinhardt (GA) all received points in the poll. Southeastern earned 9.5 points in the poll. Truett McConnell earned two points and Reinhardt earned one point in the poll.

Grand View (Iowa) sits atop the national poll with 234.5 total points after winning the NAIA National Championship last week. Williams Baptist (AR) is fourth with 64.5 points, while Southern Oregon is No. 5 in the poll with 60.5 points.
