Columbia Police investigate threatening graffiti incident at ACHS 14-year-old Adair Co. School student faces criminal charges. Student alleged to have posted graffitti - 'The graffiti was threatening in nature toward the other students' - also faces school disciplinary action in addition to any court punishment. Incident investigated by School SRO Kevin Atwood, who took the student into custody and delivered her the court designated work at the Adair Judicial Center; student now faces alleged charges including terroristic threatening. By Josh Brockman Public Information Officer Columbia Police Department, Chief, Jason Cross On Wednesday, March 2, 2017, Columbia Police Department Officer Kevin Atwood, who is assigned as the School Resource Officer at the Adair County Schools campus, was notified by school officials at around 3pmCT that graffiti had been found in the girls bathroom at the high school. The graffiti was threatening in nature toward the other students. Officer Atwood along with Director of Pupil Personel Robbie Harmon and other school officials immediately began investigating the incident . At 09:44pmCT last night, the same date, Ofc Atwood took a 14-year-old female juvenile into custody and delivered her to the Court Designated Worker at the Adair Judicial Center on charges of Felony Terroristic Threatening 2nd Degree , Disorderly Conduct 1 st Degree and Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree. The student will also face consequence's for her actions from the school system itself in addition to the criminal charges. As to exactly what those are we would refer those questions to the Board of Education. The investigation is being continued by the CPD Officer Kevin Atwood SRO. There are no other suspects at this time. We are thankful for the complete cooperation from the school which resulted in this incident quickly being resolved.
