Adair Democratic Chair urges members to watch Trump address Urges all to also listen to response from former Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear By Wendy Butler Burt, Chair, Adair County Democratic Party Personal Commentary Open letter to Fellow Democrats Kentucky's county Democratic Party chairs hold a conference call each month and, last night, we were honored to be joined by former Governor Steve Beshear. Governor Beshear, who attended last weekend’s Democratic National Committee meeting in Atlanta, spoke with hope and enthusiasm about his vision for the future of the party in Kentucky and the nation. He also spoke briefly about how honored he feels to have been asked to deliver the Democratic response to President Trump’s address to Congress. The address to Congress will be broadcast tonight, Tuesday, February 28, starting at 8pmCT As painful as it will be to watch President Trump's address to Congress tonight, I urge all of you to do so. The address will, among other things, lay out the blueprint of what we Democrats will be up against in our fight to stand up the the rights and interests of all the American people. Governor Beshear’s response will be the first shot across the bow in this fight. Should you want to share your reactions to/ideas about the Governor’s response, please do not hesitate to contact me. - Wendy Butler Burt, Chair, Adair County Democratic Party This story was posted on 2017-02-28 15:56:23
